The gang attempted to enter the showroom, but were successfully deterred by Eyewitness Remote Surveillance Professionals (RSPs) administering swift audio warnings! Because the individuals ran across the street to a neighboring property, officers were still dispatched to the area.

Officers swept the area and reported that no damage was found to any inventory.

Out of an abundance of caution, the site was addressed with audio and police were dispatched. Officers arrived and searched the premises fully, soon locating the intruder just outside of the property, him having again jumped the fence, before placing him in custody.

An individual was observed arriving onto a dealership property on a bicycle. Shortly after parking his bike next to a blue container at the corner of the lot, he began to make his way in between vehicles near the back of the building.

The individual in question was addressed via the speaker system at the location, however, he refused to comply and continued to attempt to gain entry into vehicles, so police response was requested to the site.

Officers arrived shortly after, locating and giving chase to the suspect who attempted to run away from the deputies. Police were able to detain the intruder and were seen placing handcuffs on him and removing him from the property. Dispatch confirmed that the officers had arrested the intruder and were in the process of booking him into jail.

Wheel Thief Attempts to Flee, is Arrested

Date: 03.31.20     Metro Area: Dallas, TX

Eyewitness monitored two individuals arrive on an auto lot and begin ducking between vehicles, pulling on door handles and opening vehicles – the police were dispatched.

While waiting on the police to arrive, one individual got scared away while the other was moving through the property and opening several vehicles. It appeared that he removed a bag from a pick-up truck as police were on the way. When the officers arrived on the property, they saw the individual and pursued him through the lot for some time. Police temporarily lost visual when the individual ducked into an open vehicle but he soon reemerged and was trying to flee the property with the item. Police gave chase again.

The chase left the property but they were able to detain him. Officers soon confirmed that the individual had been arrested for theft and evading police and that he was found with a Ram manual and a wheel lock key. Officers suspect that he intended to return and steal the wheels.

Eyewitness continued to deter the same large gang of auto thieves in the Memphis. Remote Surveillance Professionals (RSPs) monitored a group of intruders wearing hoodies and masks walk onto the property. Audio was initiated and police were immediately dispatched.

Following the audio announcement, a grey sedan backed up to the outside of the gate and the intruders ran off the lot entering that vehicle as well as an SUV that was parked across the street. Police were updated on the direction of travel.

Officers searched for them, however they crossed the county line and the dispatch had to be switched over.
