We start off each week bringing you the news of crimes across the country – some without happy endings or resolutions, some where the bad guys get away. So, to that end, we like to end each week by providing you with a roundup of some of the best Eyewitness Success stories for the week – times when the good guys won and local businesses were protected from the worst.

Shopping Center Vagrant Removed

Date: 02.17.20     Metro Area: Baltimore, MD

When an Eyewitness Remote Surveillance Professional (RSP) monitored an individual on a shopping center property well after hours, audio was used as the individual began removing trash and wooden pallets.

Police were dispatched and arrived soon after, making contact with the individual and escorting him off the property.

Duo of Shopping Center Trespassers Deterred

Date: 02.20.20     Metro Area: Tampa, FL

Late at night, the Eyewitness Tactical Operations Center (TOC) observed a male individual walking on a shopping center property, head towards the dumpster and start going through it. Audio was initialized and, when he did not comply, the police were dispatched.

A short time later, a female individual also arrived and met up with the first intruder as they both proceeded to loiter near a building.

Eyewitness called the dispatcher back to update them on the second intruder and their new location. The police arrived a short time after and escorted both the individuals off the property.

Dealership Intruder Arrested on Multiple Warrants

Date: 02.20.20     Metro Area: St. Louis, MO

Eyewitness monitors observed an intruder slink onto a dealership lot from the back and walk around, weaving between vehicles. Audio was used for the individual to exit but they did not comply.

Eyewitness put a call in to police about a trespasser going between vehicles and trying to open them. When the subject saw police arriving, they attempted to hide under a black pickup truck. However, Eyewitness remained on the line with operators and directed the police toward the individual, whom they apprehended immediately.

The subject was taken off property in the police cruiser, while dispatch stated that they had been arrested for multiple warrants from another county.
